I hate to admit it, but I think I have to agree with you. I mean, if you want to prove you are the best thing out there, then why not let this simple feature be offered and reap the benefits from it? Especially since there are finite data plans. If people use more, AT&T gets paid more. Good for everyone-ish. I just don't get it.

so it can't be a "hotspot", big effen deal. it's not like it can't tether to a computer on at&t, you just can't have multiple devices attached at one time. and why would you want to? tell your friends to get their own internets!

Well right now I have 4.3 on my iPhone and I am using it as a hot spot to respond to your message via my iPad. So it does have a purpose for thevpeople who have tablets w/o 3G embeded.

no dude, that's not the same thing. that's tethering. the mobile "hotspot" feature on verizon, you can connect multiple devices to the iphone AT ONCE. you do not currently have this feature on at&t, you can only connect your iphone to one device at a time. what you're referring to is tethering, what this article about is at&t/apple working on making it "hotspot" capable.

There's an app in cydia that allows hot spot feature and can offer you to connect to multiple devices at once. 4.3 is a beta version, which I believe is offering this feature. The only way to have this is if you are in the developer program for apple, or he pirated the copy.

i don't think he pirated anything. i'm positive he's referring to tethering, which has been a feature on the at&t iphone for some time now. it's the hotspot feature that at&t is working on.

I can tell you the hot spot feature from cydia works great, not much to work on, if some guy can create this feature and offer it to all iPhones, AT&T should be able to do it easily and quickly.
