If what you say is true, that's not bad at all. Rev0 is still good enough to stream 360p youtube videos.
What this basically amounts to, than, is an attack on PDAnet users who are circumventing the tethering systems.

They're worried about profit, just like every other corporation. The top 5% of data users are only paying for about 5% of the data network, but likely use over 30% of the bandwidth.
Throttling them down to spread the bandwidth around not only makes for a better experience for the mid-range users, but also makes the organization more profitable.
I'm hoping they follow this lead with the data card prices and do the cap-and-throttle like T-mobile does. I think that model is the best pricing scheme in wireless data right now. I would totally use an...

Of course, that there is no such thing as truly 'unlimited' because bandwidth is finite and you can't have infinite usage of a finite resource is a point I have made a bazillion times in the past already.
The position Verizon is in is that they are trying to make a promise that they know they can't really keep.
