Why is it a big letdown for you? Honeycomb was designed for tablet/pad-type devices and not for phones. I am waiting for Gingerbread because FroYo is 100% GARBAGE.

Tell me how "this is a big let down"? So what if honeycomb is not coming to smartphones in this iteration? It would be idiotic to assume footprint would stop developing android for smartphones in favor of tablets. We haven't even got 2.3 on most devices yet, plenty of numbers left to go. "oh well should have been expected"... stop crying. Jesus...

I'm not let down. I've seen Honeycomb in action, and it would be a disaster on anything smaller than a tablet. One of the great things that Honeycomb will bring is support for dual-core hardware and apps that want to take advantage of dual-core devices. Let's hope that's one of the features that makes it over to devices over time.
