The six carriers most frequently mentioned in the complaints are: AT&T Wireless (332 complaints); Verizon Wireless (129); Cingular Wireless (9😎; Sprint PCS (94); Nextel Communications, Inc. (46) and T-Mobile USA, Inc. (44). The Commission receives many complaints that do not involve violations of a Commission rule or order. Therefore, the receipt of these complaints does not necessarily indicate any wrongdoing by any of the companies involved. Further analysis is required to determine what, if any, violations occurred. In addition, these statistics do not reflect the number of complaints against a particular carrier relative to the number of porting requests made to the carrier. ....

First off, as an attws care rep, the one thing i've noticed about the LNP procedure is that when an lnp request doesn't go thru as planned, the company you are porting to is ALWAYS going to blame the other ws company you are porting from. do you actually think that they are going to tell you they messed up on the request when you are about to become one of their customers?? THINK PEOPLE, THINK!

I agree. everyone has been screwing the pooch on this one. it is to be expected with any new process, especially one that involves the co-operation of several major corporations. i posted thos stats to show that attws isnt the only one with difficulties. im in care with attws and a good percent of the porting delay calls ive taken have been delayed because the company doing the port in submited incorrect info. but the dont admit that; they just tell them to call attws cause its their fault. The real short comming of attws is that when i have to call PAG ( porting admin group) there is like a 2 hour hold time. then when you get through, the check and tell you the other provider spelled the customers name wrong and they have to re submit the p...
