I read the article here, but I am waiting for it to be pushed to my device. I am of course assuming it will be pushed, I read the replies about having to get it off a PC but I don't have easy/ready access to a PC with internet connection. I guess I may be screwed for a while. Either way, the articles said it could take a few weeks 😡

Does T-Mo have anything to do with it? I have either not had time or been too lazy to call in and ask.

T-Mobile has nothing to do with it. The update is done through the Samsung Kies software ONLY, and will not be pushed over the air to any devices.

No, not really. This market has been long needed to have a physical face on the desktop to compete with the AppStore. Besides, an OS release has nothing to do with Google once they complete it, it's in the hands of the manufacturers and carriers to get it out.

So it's not competing with Gingerbread for any screens (yet).

On top of that, it's Motorola/HTC/Samsung(LOL) responsibility to get Gingerbread to devices.

Google released the source code for Gingerbread already, that's what they told people they would do. Would it be nice if they pushed the devices and not others? Yes, but that's not how android works. In fact, there's only ONE COMPANY (soon 2 with Microsoft) that operates that way.

Also, 10:1 when/if you get gingerbread, you won't consider it that big of a deal. Gingerbread (like 2.1 was for 2.0) is largely a UI improvement, not features.
