I look at that number--
--'21 Mbps' and think 'Wow'.
Which means you should see constant speeds in the 1 to 2 MB/s, easy.

I have the original Samsung Vibrant, and I was curious as to how much faster their HSPA+ was going to be, since the fiber optic cables T-mobile is using should be speeding up their 3G network as well, so I went to speedtest.net on my phone, and got a result of 1.6 Mbps on the downlink! "Ha! I said to myself. "Who needs 4G?"
That's when I realized my phone was still on WiFi...

1.6mbps isn't much to be excited about. I would be more excited about 5-6mbps or more.
I look forward to the day when the slowest speeds on poor network conditions we get 1.5mbps. And speeds of 8-9mbps are considered everyday average speeds.

in my area on average i get 5mbps download and 1.6mbps upload i dont know what people are talking about

I constantly get between 1 to 2 megs a sec on my 7.2hspa nexus one.
realistically, you probably would get between 4 to 9 megs per second.

So true tmobile advertised speeds are fail. I blow pass 9mbs daily and avg about 7-8mbs on Sprints Wimax. 😎
