Marketing is cool.
I applaud AT&T taking T-Mobile's 4G marketing plan and rolling full speed ahead.
...
Either that or they kept their mouths shut, while upgrading. And I do think TMO takes credit for pushing AT&T to do this.
...
The HSPA+ on AT&T's netwok has been around for a while, since its essentially a software update from HSPA. It's throttled speed is due to backhaul.

I was not talking about the technology... I said the marketing. The decision to call it 4G. They stole that from T-Mobile and I personally applaud them for doing so.

I was talking to Versed. I agree with you. if T-mo wants to pretend HSPA+ is 4G - hell, we should too. i've sold a ton of Inspires and a few Atrix today just by mentioning 4G. It sells phones, and at the end of the day, that's what we're all here for...

AT&T does absolutly nothing until they are pushed by their competitors.
...
Why should they? Let someone else perform trial and error then swoop in and emulate the successful business practices. It makes sense to me. Verizon launches an Advanced Device ETF... Step back and see how things go. Then copy it. T-Mobile brands HSPA+ 4G. Peer around at the backdrop. If everything is cool...do the same.

I like innovators! Not copiers.

Right. It's all about you.

anything to do with att your going to hate jayshmay.
Add an avatar pic, sig or change your name stating how much you really hate att and it would save you a lot of time from one-sided opinions that you will post in the future.
After doing so you should have more time to develop a thought process thats more beneficial.
