Apple?. . .

I am surprised to see Apple on this list. They are in a world all by themselves. Apple doesn't do anything that is standard with the rest of an industry.

And I am kinda curious as to why HTC isn't on the list.

I do love the standardization of microusb, I can use any microusb charger from any manufacterer.

The way USB works, it should already be compatible, as USB has very specific power draw limits (3.3v and 5v 500ma tops)

I doubt we'll see Apple drop their proprietary charger anytime soon, given the wide array of Apple devices that use it and all the accessory components and docks that can interface with it. We'll probably see select devices have both the proprietary dock and micro USB both on a single device.

i think its because they wont be able to sell their iphones in europe if they dont comply..

i guess htc is not there because their already complying?

(im also wondering how they'll be able to do it..cause microUSB i think is againt their design ideals and they would have to make some compromises with the design...)
