I always wonder at comments like this. One brand of phones, only, have not received the 2.2 update. Everyone always assumes it is the carrier.
Verizon has released 2.2 on their HTC Incredible, Motorola Droid, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Droid 2 Global, Motorola Droid Pro, and Motorola Droid X.
Obviously, Verizon isn't shy about giving 2.2 on their high end phones. If something is holding it back, it is with good reason.
You happy to have a Vibrant on T-Mobile has nothing to do with this update, or 2.2 availability.
As a side note, I may call Samsung and find out when they are expecting it, or what the hold up might be for their Verizon Galaxy phones.

I assume it probably has something to do with Verizon adding their apps that they want on it or their testing. Also the Continuum will probably come after the other Galaxy S phones because of the bottom display. I am kind of surprised that other Galaxy S phones don't have the update yet though.
Either that or maybe T-Mobile was the only carrier rushing Samsung on the update.

Yeah I am not sure what is it with Samsung and the 2.2 Update. T-Mobile just started pushing out the 2.2 update a couple days ago and will continue to release it out to those devices for the next couple weeks.
I got mine on the Droid X Months ago...? lol

How hard is it to throw a couple apps like VCast Apps and My Verizon into a software updater? It's not like they're completely reworking Android OS simply to throw an undeletable app on there.
