Also ISPs and Carriers do not own the internet. By all rights they have zero rights to make anyone pay for access to networks they do not operate. It can honestly be argued that the internet itself is a form digital commons where we have allowed coporations to provide us access despite the fact it was created by the US government.
I love the corporate exceptionalism that many of you people espouse. Basically, your argument is that Corporations should be a lawless unregulated entity in the borders of a country who only needs to fear the backlash of markets. With that idea you could honestly argue that while on Corporate owned property you lose your Constitutional rights because anyform of government enforcement of your rights is a form of regulation....
