NYC Lawmaker Proposes Pedestrian Ban on Cell Phones

I think this is a ploy to bring attention to the no cell while driving law. You could argue that since one is dangerous the other is just as dangerous. Or conversely if one is stupid the other is stupid.
The problem is, if you're driving and wreck you could take not only your own life but other's around you. If you're walking and you're too busy to pay attention to the 2000lb+ vehicle headed your way. That's your own fault.
