MetroPCS Sues FCC Over Net Neutrality, Too

This is the reason why the internet needs to have some form of guideline or oversight of it. We see this in the mobile market, almost all carriers have the same monthly bill with phones being priced similarly. They're not in true competition with one another instead they're more in the competition of squeezing out the next new company and keeping them from competing. This happened with the pharmaceutical companies, and sadly I think we're starting to see this as the standard business practice among the mobile and isp companies.

Sometimes less government oversight is better, but in some cases when our government has given these companies grants and tax breaks these companies didn't use them to improve their infrastructure as the conditions for those grants and tax breaks. Some companies have shown in the past that their interests are less than legal and highly immoral, especially in areas where the competition is minimal or non-existent. Saying no government involvement is always better isn't true, otherwise we'd have child exploitation, exploitive monopolies, etc but I'm not all knowing enough to say how much is too little or how much is too much, but I'll never say a business has the same rights as a person, but they do have the right to operate to generate profit to sustain their existence.
