VzW has been having data outages and service issues since Thanksgiving. If you talk to a rep they act all surprised and claim not to know what you are talking about.

I used to work in the wireless industry, I worked for both at&t and Verizon at different points in my career...
The difference between the two companies is their relative openness...at&t informs their customers about even the smaller service disruptions, as an at&t employee I could look up coverage down to the specific city block and tell customers that one specific tower was out, we were encouraged to be honest... Verizon generally never admits anything is wrong unless the problem is so massive that it is impossible to deny.
A Verizon service outage is not at all unusual, it happens all the time....but they rarely admit it publicly.

The whole 4glte has caused major service problems for VzW customers. Replaced devices have to be removed from the acct. and replaced just to get their 3g working again. All the while VzW denies any problems.
