The G2 is a pretty good device made my a reputable company HTC. Motorola on the other hand offers some great features such and Motoblur which has been a large success on their other android devices.

Someone mentioned the processing speeds, the HTC G2 has the 800Mhz while the Cliq 2 has the 1Ghz. The G2 has a very efficient processor but a 1 gig is almost unneeded but cool to have as more advanced applications are being released.

As far as durability goes, I know the mechanism on the G2 is a little shady in my mind. Many of my co-workers (T-Mobile Employee's) have the G2, when I played with it that was my first concern.

As far as graphics, the cliq has slightly better resolution, but not my much and the HD recording doesn't seem to be as high either. The HD recording resolution/megapixal is a stupid hype anyways, that doesn't depict the actual quality of the picture. This all is described well http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.ph p?a=7334&p=3678

Overall they are very similar phones, though I would try out the Cliq 2 over the G2. Personally I think the buttons on the G2 are a little small and crammed. I have yet to put my hands on the Cliq 2. Both phones are being Introduced (Currently) with a $100 price tag after a $100 mail-in rebate.

I guess I can post how the sales compare shortly here Smile
