Why
would someone want to do their taxes on a device with a 3.5-3.7-inch screen? That's hella stupid. And even if so, a lot of people who do use the 1040EZ form, still require additional worksheets and such.

Most Americans that can use the 1040ez form dont require anything else. They can do telephone tax if there tax is straight forward and basic. This is just a step up from that.

It's only for EZ formas, which take all of 10 minutes to complete (single, no dependants, one w2? easy!). What I'm more perplexed at is why anyone would pay $15 to file from the program when it's free to do from the IRS's website...

Paying a one time charge to e-file from your phone is cheaper than paying a recurring monthly fee for home internet service.
There is a growing segment of the population who don't have home internet and can only access the internet through their phone. Many of these kinds of apps are intended for that market.

I downloaded the free version (to check it out), and it actually has some pretty nice features. Not sure how well it works, but the app can take a picture of your physical W2 and extract all the data from it automatically.
To put it simply, the app is convenient, and now, even someone who doesn't have access to a computer can E-File.
