Im sure ill get alot of flack but it really is a shame that the Pre wasn't the Iphone killer that Sprint hoped it would be. Too those of you Iphone lovers who bash on this comment have you used WebOS?? It is the easiest and Best! Yes the hardware could be better. I hope Hp's event next month helps revive it. Im just not one to follow the crowd with this one. At Ces Iphone overload! Yawn is right. Just saying...

Lol gotchya but ill still take my Pre over the Iphone. Id still rather use its cramped keyboard the an all touch one. Hp just really needs to step on it with new stuff & I hope Sprint continues to work with them.

I love the Pre, just bought one for my girl.

Unfortunately there is no way it can survive if the market isn't ramped up a LOT.

I hate to say it, but there are almost NO apps on the palm marketplace and there certainly aren't many useful free applications.

The OS is amazing, but the hardware, almost from the beginning, was outdated and slow. The battery was a drag and simple things like setting multiple alarms is impossible to do without purchasing a paid app.

If Palm and HP can step it up to provide something that isn't horrible, and make a LOT of them, then we can talk.

But as for right now, the Palm OS may be easy to use, but the best OS, for many reasons, it is not.

Ha! I agree - personally I think the Palm hardware has been nothing short of pathetic, but man what a UI!
I use a BB Torch as my primary device (and LOVE it btw), but wish RIM would steal the WebOS look, feel, and usability. Couple it with Android's customizability and I'd have a perfect phone! I fully dumped the iPhone as my second device. 3 years and no real changes to the interface? No thanks.
iPhone is a fine device, but what it does well, other phones do better. Good luck with mediocrity VZW users...

iOS is currently the most advanced mobile OS in practice. WebOS is leagues ahead of Android and has some of the strongest, most forward-looking foundations of any mobile OS, but it needs better hardware and a round of updates and a development schedule that is far more aggressive. Although the Ares SDK is nothing short of genius, iOS's HTML5 support has already surpassed it as a purely open framework.

It's a polite way of saying that since iOS 4.0, the iPhone runs web apps better than Android and WebOS run native apps. (If you don't believe me, compare JQTouch or Sencha, and it'll blow your mind.) Web standards have evolved and WebOS needs a refresh to keep up. (Which it's getting, but they're a little late.)

The iPhone 4 is unquestio...

soooooo, "AndroidRules".... I'm guessing you've never given WebOS a fair once over? The hardware has been crap crap crap and 3rd party app support has been embarrasing, but the UI *seriously* is awesome. Just try a Pre and look beyond the turdriffic hardware at the actual OS and maybe look up some info on WebOS 2.0 while you're at it.

Wait... you named yourself "AndroidRules"???
lmao @ AndroidRules. I'm still laughing 🤣 🤣 🤣 His name's AndroidRules and he expect any comments made about other OS's taken seriously??? lol I'm okay now. Really.

Haha I agree except I mean I really don't think besides the cramped keyboard that the hardware is that bad on the Pre it's a slider so's the torch. I personally like it yes it could be better & I hope Hp's upcoming event helps. It still has a loyal fan base and we do have some more apps etc now. It satisfies my needs for now & im not a "fanboy" really I would take an Android too. Its just like you said though I didn't know how much I really like the Pre till I played with it in store. I get a kick out of all the Apple fans though. It took them forever just to even put a flash on the damn camera LOL.
