I expected VZW to announce that they would offer an iPhone. However, I would've presumed that it would be launched as the new iPhone in June.

Instead, they take an iPhone4 and bait unsuspecting consumers that have been lusting for this news, and throw them a very soon to be outdated variant just for the sake of sales and able to claim they have the iPhone. I feel really bad about this and so do my family members that work for VZW. Deception at it's finest. So much greed generated from this single product, should re-define it from the Jesus phone to the Anti-Christ.

Besides that if they waited until june, that would be 4 more MONTHS of customers bitching that Verizon didn't have it.

If customers are stupid enough to buy this device, then let them. If they're such apple fans, they should KNOW when apple releases new devices, it's not like apple deviates... ever.

The consumer knows the features that this phone has and accepts them. Just as I knew the features that the Incredible had and that a Verizon variant of the EVO (which I was lusting after) was surely around the block. Verizon is making this device available because consumers have been crowing for it for YEARS. No one is forcing an iphone4 on them. I bet they will be breaking down the doors to get it though. Beautiful madness.

If they were smart they would have different releasing periods. First/Second Quarter for Verizon and Third/Fourth for Att. Gotta keep the flock of sheep in order ya know?

😁

I have found that you don't have to be level headed nor have a pre-requisite of knowledge in the wireless industry to grace the presence of these forums. You just need to be a Fanboi of a product, or a sales rep with no regard to customer's financial pockets.

While I may slightly fall into the category of being a Fanboi, I am not a Sales representative. I am a consumer that takes decisive marketing personally.

I remember about 25 years ago when I was looking to purchase a new car. I told a salesman that I liked the car but needed to talk to my Wife about it. The salesman said he would be right back. when he came back, he told me that he had talked to my Wife and she said I could buy the car! Oh really? Anything to make a sale...

I can see where your concerns are but one thing your doing as well is making consumers sound like sheep. Forums like phonescoop help keep consumers informed on what there buying and VZW is coming out with clear disclosure on what there selling and what your buying.

Now if you go into a VZW store not knowing what your buying or getting into you as a consumer then you need to bear some of the burden for getting "taken" buy a good sales person.

Im not advocating that Sales reps should be unethical but coming in armed with as much knowledge on a product is the best way to overcome any issues.

The other thing that I noticed is how more RELAXED VZW is at putting out phones with less and less preloaded VZW apps. The only preloaded app tha...
