Gah, if Helio never gets a Sammy phone I'll be happy. That is, unless they replace their godawful UI with the Helio one, which I believe they are doing to all their handsets...
Sammy may be king in SK, but honestly the carriers themselves seem to be pushing the manfacturers for the features. If you compared say, Samsung in SK, with Fujitsu or Hitachi in Japan, based solely on hardware - the Japanese manufacturers would win. Bigger better screens, pushing the design envelope, built-in GPS with street navigation in-hardware(they had it first, at least), and so forth. The SK carriers may be innovative, but the SK manufacturers just feel like they're shoving in new software features into the same hardware "mold."
Just my $0.02. At least the Pantech and VK handsets Helio will have at launch LOOK interesting, if nothing else!
