Baseless rumor.

I spoke with someone yesterday who is actually on the integration committee for Nokia/Sanyo. I can tell you with confidence that those kinds of decisions simply have not been made yet.

We should see some kind of major announcement about that deal in 1-2 months. They hope to have made such decisions by then.

Either way, the new branding won't take effect until 2007.

The Sanyo brand is very strong in Japan and even here with Sprint. I personally expect a joint brand like Sony Ericsson.
