I thought their ceo said no more motoblur?

A strange move for a company that said that they weren't going to continue to focus on blur, or something to that effect. Of course I just read that the CLiq 2 is coming out with Blur.

That is unfortunate, since blur on the cliq one ruined the phone. My impression of blur on my cliq was that it was buggy, lagged the phone horridly, and was impossible to turn off without rooting the device.

The cliq was a solid, well built phone with good stats, but was plagued with that blur. And blur made upgrades damn near impossible and I just got 2.1 when most devices were already on 2.2 for some months.

It would be infinitely better if moto would not INTEGRATE that blur into android, but rather made it into a launcher that COULD BE TURNED OF...

From what I have seen Blur can be nice on a phone with high specs. Such as the Droid X, but I definitely agree that it ruined the Cliq/Cliq XT.

It would definitely be a better choice on their behalf to use your idea and make it into a launcher that can be turned on and off at will without root access. This is a very similar case to HTC's Sense interface, it works well on super phones, but is horrible on lower end phones. At least with Sense you can run a different launcher though.
