Is suppose to have an Android phone out some time soon, I've seen several of those Crafts around along with their other crappy phones. Might be worth looking into if the phone isnt a POS and is something close to a Samsung S or that ilk.

Metro PCS's LTE network isn't really comparable to these other networks. Metro is going for wide coverage areas in a few select cities, but speeds on Metro's network will be closer to current low-end 3G. That's what I saw in my review of the Samsung Craft on Metro PCS's LTE network down here in Dallas.

They're using 1.4 MHz channels for LTE right? Trying to conserve spectrum because they only have a slice of 1900 or 1700 to deploy both CDMA 1x and LTE (and possibly EvDO) on...

Yes, you are correct. MetroPCS is reportedly deploying LTE w/ the minimum 1.4 MHz bandwidth carrier channels. In some markets, such as Las Vegas, MetroPCS has only AWS 2100+1700 MHz spectrum. So, CDMA1x, EV-DO, and LTE are all deployed in the same band. In other markets, such as DFW, MetroPCS has both PCS 1900 MHz & AWS 2100+1700 MHz spectrum. So, CDMA1x is definitely deployed in the PCS band, possibly in the AWS band as well. As for EV-DO & LTE, that may vary from market to market. In markets, where MetroPCS has only a single 10 MHz PCS license, though, both EV-DO & LTE are likely deployed in the AWS band.
