Refund option...

Man, I wish that was one thing Apple let you do with the App Store. I think people are a bit less willing to take risk on apps that have only a few reviews, which kind of hurts up and coming developers.

But man, I didn't know Apps couldn't be larger than 50MB. I've got a game on my iPhone that's around 400MB. I wonder why they made such a restriction...

I didn't know there was a restriction either! It's cool they're increasing it to include some better apps.

Most big apps install a stub (1-5mb) on the phone, and then store the data on the SD card or internal memory.

Previous to this, the limit was 15mb

I don't like any apps that are larger than a megabyte to be stored in my Droid's internal memory.

Internal memory on smartphones are STILL way, way too small.

I'm sure my next nsmartphone will be fine though.

agreed...it always amazes they skimp on memory and expect you to download all these apps. even with apps2sd you still store some data from each app to internal mem. so eventually thats going to fill up.

Umm !!NO!! I'm too much of an *individual* for an Iphone.

Too stubborn to admit that the iphone is the best phone in the world.

I like an actual *real* keyboard, and the ability to swap out spare batteries.

Those things are nice and you are certainly entitled to choose a phone based on those options. However, implying that those who choose the iphone lack individuality is unfair and I will call you out on it every time. I have the Incredible and before that the XV6900 so obviously lacking a keyboard is NOT a deal killer for me. If Verizon ever gets the iphone I am there and it is simply because the iphone is damned near a computer thus easily trumping any other phone out there.

What about Android isn't lik a computer? Heck, I don't even use my laptop currently.

And when something like 40% of AT&T's customers have an Iphone then to me, the means the individuality of it is gone, its the same as when I was in high school. Nike sneakers with the word AIR on the side were super popular, and BOSS jeans that were way back. And now its those Hollister tshirsts, when so much people do the *same* thing, the individuality of it is gone.

So because others drive a Mercedes I SHOULDN'T just to prove to the world that I am an individual? Do you have any idea how that sounds, Jay? Seriously. If you do not want an iphone fine but don't castigate those who want one or own one as not being individuals. Choosing an iphone simply because it is popular is just as ridiculous as choosing not to own one because it is.

They also have reduced the refund time from 24 hours to 15 minutes. You got 15 minutes to decide if you want a refund.

15 minutes isn't much time! That's why it is so important to read lots, and lots of comments, and try to find some online reviews of apps PRIOR to downloading.

That is my only major concern with this overhaul. The 50 MB cap is good, maybe we can get some more impressive games this way. But 15 minutes? I might not even have time to use the app in that window. What if I'm doing something? It's as if that return period is for people who buy an app when they're sitting at home on the couch.

All I can think of is make sure you read a lot of reviews prior to downloading.

That's still a far cry from actually using the app. There have been many an occasion in which an app that I ended up really liking receied terrible reviews due to technical incompetence.
