Though it has never gave me a single problem, Im excited about the new Taho! Glad to see Sanyo didn't forget about those of us who love tough rugged phones, for a while I thought Sprint was just going to target the Droid market.
Thank you Sprint and Sanyo!!!

For your sake I hope Kyocera has made some strides since taking over manufacturing for Sanyo.
Still, this phone looks like it fits the bill for someone looking for a phone to perform its primary function.

Could have used PTT on it considering they are getting rid of iDEN.

NO I am so glad to see a non DCS rugged unit on CDMA. If you dont need PTT dont screw up the phone trying to have DCS on it.

yeah, the QCHAT (i.e., push to talk done over EVDO data connnection) is a major battery drainer. I had the Sanyo Pro 200 awhile back and with the MSL, figured out how to disable EVDO (and thus disable push-to-talk) and it increased battery life exponentially.
As a guy who still just uses my cell phone for calling (I use computers for the internet), I am thinking this Sanyo may be my next phone assuming the reviews are good.

There is definitely a big market for a phone like this. Can't wait to see one!
Whiskey7, just having EVDO itself is a battery drainer, whether you have PTT or not.
