Music Player Issues (and others, as it turns out)
I'm quite sure that the issues with the Jet music player not playing some tracks are the same as the ones with the Slider Sonic (since its the same exact phone except without EVDO and the Live/PTT service).
The issue is that if the filename is too long, the song won't show in the list. I'm not sure what the limit is, but who cares? just make the name shorter until it works.
As far as battery life goes, what did you expect? This isn't a motorola v120. There is alot more going on here with about the same type of battery. So buy a car charger, and don't try to tell me that you will never use it, because I might be forced to smack you.
This goes for all EVDO phones. Everyone demands higher resolution and bigger screens, better speake...

WD2003, i will not rant back, but i don't think we're expecting too much from a phone when under normal usage, the battery lasts more than a day, or even a *full* day. there are plenty of ev-do phones out there with rich media capabilities that have significantly better battery life. we made it clear we understood why the battery died after streaming an entire UFC fight night.
additionally, some people live in large metropolitan cities and even if they own cars, tend not to drive except on special occasions because it's faster and easier to get around on public transportation. we, your reviewers, happen to live in such a place.
in either case, a car charger is not the appropriate solution, better battery life is the solution.

Good point. One might assume that most of the users Amp'd is targeting live in Metropolitan areas (that is the only place Verizon's EV-DO can be utilized). However, judging by Amp'd's distribution strategy, one wonders if they are serious about selling service at all. Could MVNO's eventually end up being acquired by the same carriers whose networks they use?
