Music Player Issues (and others, as it turns out)

by wireless_detective2003    Mar 31, 2006, 10:22 AM

I'm quite sure that the issues with the Jet music player not playing some tracks are the same as the ones with the Slider Sonic (since its the same exact phone except without EVDO and the Live/PTT service).

The issue is that if the filename is too long, the song won't show in the list. I'm not sure what the limit is, but who cares? just make the name shorter until it works.

As far as battery life goes, what did you expect? This isn't a motorola v120. There is alot more going on here with about the same type of battery. So buy a car charger, and don't try to tell me that you will never use it, because I might be forced to smack you.

This goes for all EVDO phones. Everyone demands higher resolution and bigger screens, better speakers, speakerphones, music downloads, live video, high speed internet, mass storage, and a built in hydrodynamic spatula, all housed in a metal casing no more than 5mm in thickness, and then they're surprised when the same limiting factor holds it all back.

Lets all think back to bag phones with the impressive two hour standby time when not plugged in. Eventually we figured out the battery technology. The same is true here. just be patient and adopt the new phone technology, and I'm sure the battery tech will catch up, like it always has. Until then, BUY A CAR CHARGER AND EXPECT TO USE IT!!!!

Thanks for reading my rant.
