This would be great--I talked to Sprint around a year ago about having more than one device share a data plan. Hopefully they do this soon, as I want a dedicated home device and then have my Overdrive device to take with me traveling. Be nice if this also included tethering.

The only way that multiple device data plans will be feasible, however, is w/ tiers/quotas. And that is one reason why tiers/quotas actually can be beneficial to end users. You purchase your desired data allotment. You use data accountably. And you can do so on as many devices as you please. Just submit the MAC addresses of the devices that you want on your account.

When a carrier sells you an unlimited data plan, the carrier is banking on you using approximately x amount of data, not 7x or even 14x. So, some restrictions are necessary. And those restrictions could come in the form of device add on limits, device add on fees, or data tiers/quotas. Th...

Tiered and limited data plans are propaganda used by companies who lack the resources to provide what their customers ask for.

Then they pay guys like you to "explain" that these limits are necessary.

No, the answer is: You should have built a bigger and better network with more spectrum.

While I don't mind abusing the "Unlimited" Data. I can at least admit that I am getting over. Why can't you?

"The only users who squawk at that are those who want to use an inordinate amount of data but pay only an average price."

I resemble that remark. 🤭
