I wonder if it will be released on current Android devices. I do hope so, but I can see Google putting it strictly on new devices. Regardless, I WANT 2.3, especially for the keyboard update. I cannot stand waiting for symbols to appear, albeit only a second - that's too long compared to any BB!

I beleive Google already announced the minimum specs for devices to run Gingerbread 2.3.

If I remember them correctly, they were:

- 1GHz or faster Processor
- 512MB RAM
- Screen Size of 3.5 inches or larger

Jay Shmay...

Here's a question, I've seen you all over PS for a while now - why don't you come to the Lounge?

Most of the time nobody is talking about anything interesting. And some people in the Lounge are way immature.

Never a truer word was spoken. Let me ask you this, do you like to talk politics?

you are missing out! The politics debates are great, because there are quite a few varieties of beliefs in the Lounge. We've also set some ground rules, so to avoid personal attacks. While I can't guarantee a mature, enlightened conversation outside of the political threads, you should come check us out!

I'm with Jay - the Lounge is over-rated.

Preciesly! 90% or more of the people who frequent the Lounge, don't even post in the regular news discusions. It's like the Lounge is the only reason the come to PS,...kinda sad.

I feel that I should clarify the viewpoint of the Loungepeople. I can see now that non-Lounge users think condescendingly of Lounge users. While I understand that a majority of Lounge threads are entirely useless to anybody - except those who are involved with them - many thought-provoking and intelligent discussions take place in the Lounge in the midst of all the mind-numbing crap.

And in response to your remark insinuating that most users visit the site only to partake in the Lounge, there is good reason for that: almost every Lounge visitor is at work and they have very strict internet blocks. Phonescoop is almost universally available in all wireless jobs, so when it's slow at work we hop on to the only website available - phonescoop...
