Interesting! DFW is att's flagship market and hotbed for subscribers. I can't fathom how Sprint's spectrum here could benefit att?

Maybe they need it because so many people in DFW have AT&T. Their network is probably close to full capacity.

The spectrum in this transaction does not cover Dallas. It covers BTA003 Abilene, TX and BTA418 Sherman-Denison, TX, both of which are contained w/in Sprint's MTA007 Dallas-Ft. Worth PCS B 30 MHz license. To give you an extent of the size of MTA007, it extends from the Mexican border to beyond Amarillo, TX to beyond Shreveport, LA. From that massive geographic license, Sprint intends to partition & disaggregate just 10 MHz of its 30 MHz license to AT&T in just the Abilene & Sherman-Denison markets.
