Palm to Distribute webOS 2.0 to All webOS Devices
woo hoo!
Their hardware was dismal, as likely this first batch of phones under HP probably will be too. But HP is a hardware company, and will likely turn that around quickly.
The only true improvement needed will be to get more developers on WebOS and in their version of the app store.
Android, being so widely spread out, is going to do well no matter what. WebOS being on multiple carriers already may help as well.
Either way I hope they stick around for a while. Competition never hurts.

PALM SUCKS. ANDROID IS SO MUCH BETTER HANDS DOWN................ 😈
Agreed. People just think webOS is better all because it's all pretty and glossy. You know, like iOS. Why do you think the iSheep praise webOS too. Doesn't take a rocket scientist.
wouldn't iSheep not praise WebOS as it was a direct threat to iOS?
I know a lot of people still think that WebOS is just an extension of PalmOS, but they really are completely different, and for their first shot at a next generation OS, they did incredibly well.
However it puts them behind in the developer aspect. Funny though that Rovio brought Angry Birds to WebOS before Android though... gives credit to the lack of fragmentation that WebOS has. 3 generations of hardware in (Pre, Pre Plus, Pre 2) and almost all of the handsets can run every program in the App Catalog (sucks for the Pixi, but that phone wasn't targeted at heavier web users, but people who were in the centro market and are heavier texters), AND they're ...

Wow. All caps. I never would have expected that... 🙄

crazy thing is, WebOS is way better than Android by a longshot, it is just poorly implemented on crappy phones.
Palm: "We're better than you are! We have better stuff."
Google: "You don't get it. That doesn't matter!"
That pretty much sums it up.
Google: "Let's pay Verizon hundreds of millions of dollars to convince everyone that Android isn't half-baked"
The rest is history.
