Play MP3's WITHOUT Sprint Music Store?

Mar 26, 2006, 11:35 PM
Is there a way to play MP3's without going through the Sprint Music Store on the phone?

I can't find a way and if there is not, this raises some issues:

-If you don't subscribe to EVDO Vision, are you charged for Vision usage?

-If you are roaming and can't connect to Vision, how do you listen to music?

Is there an application you can use to listen to music?

Yes, you can play Mp3s without going through the MusicStore - Download the A900 software from Samsung (the link is on a paper in the box) and when you save your files (AAC would be best over Mp3) save them in the Media folder - not the music folder.

If you dont subscribe to EVDO Vision and you use it, there is a usage fee

If you cannot connect to Vision, you can still listen to the music you've already downloaded.

Hope this helps!

Download the USB driver that wirelesspioneer mentioned and then plug your A900 into your computer with the USB cable included with your phone. Your computer will then recognize the phone as a removable storage device and you will be able to copy your MP3s or whatever onto the phone. So open up My Computer and find the new "drive" which is actually your phone and you should be able to find the MEDIA folder there.
