I told yall Clear didn't have the money. T-Mo is not interested. They don't want WiMAX and HSPA+ is okay for now.

Note to Sprint: Go LTE before it's too late! Kick the Nextel users off and grab that 800mhz spectrum. Let's go! Move it, move it!

Well I certainly didn't mean it to come off that way. Of course I hate to see people lose their jobs more than anybody. Come on now, I was a victim of outsourcing myself. But my issue is that I felt that Sprint was making a big mistake by going with WiMAX in the first place. They're using a $hitty band who's signal can't penetrate through buildings. It costs more money for deployment and everyone else is using LTE. Just a bad move, IMO

Who is everyone else?

The whole world is using Wimax right now! Clear is facing the hardships of bring in new technology Wimax is superior to hspa+ 21mbps 42mbps and beyond. The biggest difference is hspa+ is bandaide for faster speeds. Tmobile is able to expand coverage faster because its nothing more than patch work. Wimax requires a complete build out but in the long run proves to be much more effecient. Tmobile will also crumble soon when there hspa+ network starts to take on the load when more users demand data. Which is why there pricing structure is changing they will need boat loads of cash from consumers to meet the demand so will Verizon! Clear is the only company that can keep cost low, speeds fast, and data UNLIMITED! If we lo...

You need to check your sources, buddy. TMobile has been BEGGING to have Wimax since it began, but Sprint blocked them(they own majority of Clear).
Here's what's likely to happen...
Clear and Tmobile come to an agreement... Sprint buys Tmobile... converts TMobile Network to LTE. Sprint then has HUGE Wimax/LTE network.
You heard it here first...

While he says he is not interested in the "niche" market share that WiMax currently has, there is definitely room for both to exist and the advent of dual-mode chipsets can accomplish that well.

Also what he didn't say speaks loudly, what are you going to do about 4G? It's not just consumers that really want it, the providers do too because of the cost it can save. Newer technology means more efficient networks.

Ultimately they will need to find an answer, and even if it meant some sort of joint venture, merger, or trade off with Sprint or Clear I think it would be pretty beneficial to both. Each has something the other does want.

Read this...

Why would Sprint consider "allowing" Tmobile in to something they don't want to be a part of? There's quite a few stories on this all over the web. Just google "tmobile clearwire".

Now stop drinking your haterade, Jay.

LOL.....April fools day is a whiles away, if anything happens it will be T-mobile's parent to buy out sprint, they have the money and capital, sprint cant even afford to buy clearwire right now "its too expensive" in their own words let alone T-mobile. Tmobile has problems with running fiber to the cell sites so wimax might work for them there instead of renting it out at insane rates, Tmo USA is too much of a cash cow for D Telekom to let go of, this last quarter alone they made up half of D Telekoms revenues look it up in their shareholder statement.

yeah man im feeling it and I work there. but probably not till lte gets launched by sprint or clear at least officially, merger would be more feasible and hopefully DT is the controlling entity in light of our sudden phone and network turnaround.

Historically, Deutsche Telecom has shown very little interest in their Tmo sibling other than having a foot inside the USA. In fact, I think there were even hints of DT unloading them. Their interests could change. However, This is not a company I would want to take over Sprint/Clearwire. To progress and advance, it would have to be by an entity that is willing to put 100 percent into focusing on moving forward. Not just a second income.

You're kidding right? youve read Rene Oberman's DT's CEO's statements regarding data and the US market right? DT's investors want action and returns on investment, with the explosion in data in the US DT has every reason to back it's US division 100 % it's a company completely refocused and committed to growth and revenue at this point. Hence the change of CEO and current ads , havnet seen this kind of advertising since being an employee or customer, now the question is how far is DT going to go this time around, they hired the man that turned their german division around and have shown an aggressiveness not seen before, should be incredibly interesting.
