AT&T Says T-Mobile's '4G' Numbers Are Wrong

according to at&t, T-Mobile's formula for calculations is wrong like the iPhone 4's antenna. pure coincidence or potential patent dispute

🤣

the real test will come when the iPhone is finally released thru Big Red. My prediction is that at&t will slowly lose subscribers compared to the sprint fiasco and only because the etf is insane so most people are going to avoid that and instead go thru the life of the contract.

an iphone on verizon OR tmobile would be a far superior choice.

no really 🙄 ..the dropped calls that occure with the iphone is not the network but its the phone itself in most cases..trust me on that..I think people that go to verizon and get a iphone is going to get a rude awakening. its not for sure that the experience with making and recieving calls is going to be better on verizon.

Agreed this is what I believe will happen once big red gets the iphone because it will be using a new cmda chipset. The gsm reciever may be flawed or the software apple use to connect to att is flawed. But I believe the Superior signal connection Cdma has over gsm combined with a new chipset refocus from apple to get the iphone to connect with a cdma tower and all of Verizon extensive testing before they release it will bring a iphone that has better call signal. If it still drops calls on big red apple is a big fail in the phone department. It cannot be att because they have a t...

You hope. Because we both know, VZW will probably sell like 5 million of them in a month, and millions more in the following months. I don't want to get into a flame over this, but most (not all, and those who are ignorant) buy a Droid device because they can't get an iPhone. And if and when this happens, it will have a profound effect on its EVDO speeds.

Remind me again how Iphone is going to be better on Verizon's network? You could have the biggest 3g network in the entire world and if millions of customers are using that data constantly and in large quantities, any network will slow down!!

So for all you Verizon enthusiasts who bash AT&T and say that the Iphone will run better on Verizon's network: THINK AGAIN.

What do you think is going to happen once you have millions of Iphone users using their unlimited data on Verizon's network? Hmmm. Maybe the same thing that happened to AT&T's but at least AT&T is handling the demand much better now considering they've had it for years!! It will be Verizon's first year and you think the network is just going to automatically put up with ...

One problem:
In most markets Verizon has way less bandwidth than AT&T has. Unless of course Verizon chooses to run things on their AWS properties which are not used at this time.

CDMA does use bandwidth more efficiently than UMTS but not efficiently enough to make up for the bandwidth issues.

The problem AT&T is having with the iPhone is a problem of success. What do you do when you sell a device to millions of people and they use its capabilities? The devices are asking more of the network than it can deliver. The problem will be the same no matter who is successful with the device. If they choose to put it on their LTE network then they will only forestall the inevitable because of bandwidth limitations.

I am not a fan of AT&T each provided has their issues based on where you live in this great country of ours but this statement about
"the iPhone 4's antenna" Apple built the phone it would have been the same on any network.
