New T-Mobile MyTouch Earns 4G Badge
tmobile should be slapped for this!
First off: T-Mobile has made great strides on their 3G network, with coverage for most large markets and additional coverage on their "road runner" interstate network. At this point, their 3G coverage is on-par with AT&T but still behind the CDMA networks (mainly because of roaming agreements between the major CDMA players and independents). It sucks to have T-Mobile in rural areas, but many of their competitors only have 2G coverage in those areas (if at all).
T-Mobile's 3.5G deployment is evolutionary, so they will be reusing the same radio and network infrastructure to do the deployment. So, by definition, they can deploy their 3.5G network much faster than carriers moving to newer technologies (LTE for ...

They do not have 4g and barley have any 3g. There phones are terrible, there coverage is spotty, they have a ton of network outages, and do not have 4g technology hspa+ is 3g! I feel bad for there customers they are going to have a lot of people confused if and when they do actually release 4g. Props to Sprint its Clear tmobile wants to be like you! ๐
your ridiculous post gave me a migraine..i think i need to lay down ๐คจ
They do not have 4g and barley
But they do have HSDPA+ and Whole wheat!
Seriously though, if Sprint wants to call their new network 4G and it is running between 8-14MBS then it's Ok for T-Mobile to say their 3G is running at 4G speeds. According to Sprint, it is.
There phones are terrible
Their* Phones are some of the best in the market, they have a stack of great messaging phones, they STARTED the Android revolution and currently have the largest inventory in the U.S.(possibly the world) and are going to be the first in the race for WP7.
there coverage is spotty,
Their* coverage is pretty decent and growing. If it's not right for you though, by a...

PWNAGE squared!
I have service with T-Mobile, and I hardly have any problems with them at all.
The phone selection is top notch (still the only carrier that has UMA technology on their Blackberries), and their price point on plans is actually pretty competitive.
This DiamondPro guy is spreading it so thick that you could fertilize a 100 Acre farm.
By the way...how can one slap a company?
Wouldn't one's hand get tired after the fiftieth person? ๐คฃ
So, yes. TMo's network is NOT 4G. But the same complaint about this can be levied at Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. They will all use this term to impress the average consumer, none of whom frequent any site like this that would educate them about 4G.
NO ONE has 100 Mbps downlinks deployed for consumer use ANYWHERE in the world.
4G (scientifically speaking) does not exist ANYWHERE in the real world.
If Sprint or VZW try to pull a false advertising claim against T-mo, they're going to have to admit that LTE and WiMAX (in their present real-world form) are NOT 4G networks either.
The bottom line is that HSPA+ service quality is comparable to LTE and WiMAX deployments in North America, and will continue to be comparable for the next 12 to 18 months.
All three of them are exaggerating for the sake of marketing, why are you picking on T-mobile?
Of course, anyone who's read more then three of your posts on this board knows...
