That POS myTouch 3G can get it but not the Hero or the Moment??? Seriously WTF??? The Moment even has a faster processor!!! You can always root the devices but still. If the myTouch is capable of running Froyo then there is no reason whatsoever why the Hero should be deprived of it. Far as the Moment goes, I'm still baffled at Samsung as it has a similar processor to the G2. Doesn't make sense.

Mytouch customers have waited a long time and it looks like they wont get left behind.
So do you think manufacture's leaving their phones behind or is it the carrier? Cause obviously as you stated the hero and moment should be able to get froyo too but their not. I personally think its the manufacture just being lazy. However, could it be the carrier's are not demanding the updates?

Mytouch and the hero have the same specs. The mytouch is more popular, so that's why it gets the update.

Of course the mytouch is a peice of garbage, if you've ever put froyo on it, its sooo freakin slow. Unresponsive, and just plain garbage.

Samsung moment doesnt have the same processor as the G2. Samsung discarded all their previous processor designs, as well as motorola for the G2 architecture. so far LG is the closest with their new optimus line.

Here's the obligatory "What about the Vibrant?" comment.
