The article says that Verizon will still offer a 5GB cap for $30. The $30 plan is unlimited for phones. I read the WSJ and Engadget articles and they both say that Verizon will still offer unlimited plans.

Also, for those who don't use a lot of data, AT&T still offers the better plan. AT&T gives you 200MB for $15 while Verizon will give you only 150MB.

The tiered data plan will be for the MiFi devices. Currently there is 250MB for 39.99 and 5GB for 59.99. They will be adding 150MB for 14.99

I haven't personally, but a guildie would use his phone if his broadband connection went down and would usually get somewhere between 150-250 ms (pretty good imo.)

Eh...I can still get unlimited data for any smartphone on AT&T. I just took a 2G phone that has only the $20.00 unlimited plan allowed, then "upgraded" and was grandfathered into the $30.00 unlimited. It'll be impossible to do on Verizon because there's no phone that's like the 2G in that in requires the unlimited. =S

What would I do without you to do my thinking and arithmetic?

So, what if I DO use a lot of data? Who is the best then? What? AT&T doesn't offer unlimited in an age where almost everyone uses the internet on their phone?! Oh, I guess AT&T sees the future and realizes that people will use internet on their phone less and less... 👀
