Wow, it would be completely unheard of for industry to jump ahead of the standards committee. Let these guys sit on their butts for another 4 years so they can finish. Everybody, pull out all HTML 5 features, okay? that means you too Apple. Thanks guys!

They're not talking about features.

What they are saying is that it's not a good idea to go "All In" with HTML5 because the standards still haven't been worked out. So until they do, if you choose the wrong one you're ****ed.

Standard HTML, Flash, and Even HTML5 that's NOT video and audio based is pretty safe right now for developers.

Video/audio codecs are still up in the air. Not every company has the reasources of Vimeo or even Youtube to host multiple versions of the same content.
