This app is just downright cool. It's improved so much since it's intial release. I welcome iphone users into the wonderful world of image search.

Would you give me an example of something in the real world you've used this on before? I've never used it before.

I use Goggles every time I go to the video store to help decide what movie to rent. If I see a movie that looks interesting, I start up goggles and snap an image of it. It just about always correctly figures out what movie it is and comes back with search results based on that. And usually at the top of the list is an imdb entry that I click for more info or the user reviews.

Sure I could also just type the name of the movie into a browser search, but it's easier to just click it in Goggles and overall it's probably about the same speed. (Takes a few seconds for Goggles to analyze the image, but it would take me a few seconds to type it).

Book reviews, movie reviews.. I used it the other night to scan a coin for some guy to see if it was worth anything (it wasn't)

With the recent upgrade, I can scan a book cover and it will offer to take me to results for the book OR the cover artist. Kinda neat imo.

I scan business cards to enter the information into my phone, as well as translate spanish phrases when I'm in Tijuana!
