This will be the first android phone to feature T-mobile's UMA technology which people left out. This is an awesome feature that no one knows about because T-Mobile just doesn't have the marketing budget to advertise it and people are too stupid to know how to set it up!

Tmobile does have a marketing budget. That freaking kids call free commercial won't stop playing.

Keep in mind, this is not quite UMA. It's software based wifi calling, like skype, and there is no handoff to the mobile network. If you leave the wifi connection area, the call will drop. That being said, it will still be a very valuable feature!

It's pretty. HTC makes devices that are truly beautiful in both form and function. Hell they can even make Windows Mobile attractive. It's no EVO but, not everyone can can have an EVO.

lol but seriously. s-lcd screen "higher definition" more efficient snapdragon processor. Hspa+ in more city than wi -max and it doesnt eat your battery. better wifi through "n" suppots DLNA, suppots wifi calling, and video calling over 3g. How is it not better.
I honestly hated the mytouch series from t-mobile. For a branded name of android devices that were supposed to be "speacial" for t-mobile; the 3g and slide were horrible devices and not speacial at all. However this device is definatly a win, and i wont feel bad selling this to customer cause I think it REALLY is going to rank as one of the top android devices.

did you put "speacial" in parenthesis to indicate that you didn't know how to spell it correctly? 😕

lol 🙂 should of used spell check, and no. I used "special" because the mytouch series is suppose to be t-mobiles special brand of android devices that are also supposed to outshhine the competition. Up until now they havn't.

I am and have been a fan of HTC for a very long time going back to the Audiovox days then UTStarcom. I can't and won't speak poorly of anything they manufactured (except the original Touch Pro- should of stayed with my Mogul and waited for the Touch Pro 2) I'm just leery of any line of devices that tags "HD" to an existing model like the "Instinct" HD what a hunk of garbage that was. Plus I have not had good experiences with T-Mobile data coverage but I understand that is 90% geography.

yah it always depends..i was just saying as far as specs go it one ups the EVO(WHICH I THINK AS AN AWSOME DEVICE). But if you don't got the coverage where you live itll just be a brick.

Did you refer to quotation marks as parenthesis to provide an ironic twist or to indicate that you didn't know how to name them correctly? 🤣

I'd have to agree with you. I think a 4.3inch screen is a bit big for a cellphone.

That's the beauty of opinions, everyone gets to have one 🙂

4.3 may seem big, but you get used to it easy enough, and many people prefer the extra screen real estate.
