Because Apple has succeeded.
It was never known whether or not if the Foleo would have failed (I think it would have) because it was cancelled before release. If it had been, it was not too far off from popular netbooks that were in the works from other companies so who knows?
Palm was a company with limited resources and to use them for this wasn't in my opinion very wise
