Does Sense on WP7 even make sense?

Isn't one of the biggest features of Windows Phone 7 their new home screen layout??? Then it's probably a good thing that HTC didn't have time to add their own layer on top of it. It's not like it's Windows Mobile 6 that needs some help because it was just built on carryovers from previous windows UI concepts going all the way back to the desktop. We're talking about a brand new interface that was created based on the needs of real end users.

I personally have a Samsung Captivate that has the TouchWiz layer, but thankfully the hardware handles it fine and it's not bad to use. But I would have been completely fine with stock Android 2.1. But if not for Samsung's need to add Touchwiz I would be on Android 2.2 already.
