It will probably be worse. The battery tech that runs our phones is 1990's vintage -- which, as we are all finding out, is incapable of powering our devices for more than a day. While it's nice that phones these days have high end processors and features like WiFi -- it's all useless if the batteries that power them fold under pressure. Long story short -- we need better battery tech now!

I agree , lets do more work for making batteries more efficient or bigger and lighter.

1ghz is fine, lets work on keeping the device on all day so i don't have to live my life with a wire attached to my HTC evo with Poop battery life

The new chipsets will be probably be more power efficient overall when not under heavy use. The third core is likely very efficient and will handle the basic phone and light menu functions. The other cores may be more efficient also, as they will be less likely to generate heat with their higher potential clockspeed.

That aside, I completely agree with the need for significant advances in energy storage technology.

Really dude?

He made a valid point and you seriously just pulled out the "You're holding it wrong" meme?

Though, it's probably Apple's 1GHZ power-sipping A4 processor that gives it the better battery life and not necessarily the non-removable battery.

The iPhone's welded on battery is a monster battery. A lot of modern smartphones are coming with miniscule 1350-1500 maH batteries. If you want a monster battery, go check out the Palm phones of the days of yore, before the Centro and Pre.
