WiMax Everywhere but...

As a loyal Sprint customer, it is very insulting to me that WiMax is not offered in my city. No specific time frame of arrival, nothing. I have to pay an additional $10 bucks for a service that is not available to me is just wrong and disrespectful. There are many customers in the metro Detroit area that feels the same. Sprint, you need to make WiMax happen in Detroit soon, or stop charging customers for something we can't use...

May I suggest that rather than writing into Phone Scoop, you might try taking your concern to:

Dan@Sprint.com

Let me know if you do not get a response within 3 business days.

They are listening. However, I have heard Detroit will be up before the end of the year.

Return phone(you are probably past 30 day return). I tell all customers who get the phone it is not for the 4G(not in my area) but for the phone. You want high end Android phone, you have to pay luxury tax. 😎 You don't want to pay $10 you don't get sold phone. Simple. Ask ATT 1st gen iPhone customers.

I personally did not care about paying the extra $10. It was still below national average of what subscribers pay a month for wireless service AND I was still able to obtain one of the best phones on the market. Having 4G launch in my area was just an added bonus.
