And lets not forget, no handsets will be released with this. They are just going to be the aircards for a while. Also, the speed isn't going to be anywhere near the 100mbps 4G standard...

As much as they push theoretical speeds, I can't wait to see what the real world speeds are on these...

even with the lte for verizon, i believe that the hspa will still beat up on it...the reason they are pushing it soo hard is to make up for the inadequate 3g that they have

HSPA won't be able to keep up with it.

HSPA+ might get close, but only to the first generation of LTE, future LTE will blow any commercially viable HSPA+ variants out of the water.

And the reason they are pushing LTE is because they know the future is in Data, and LTE is SIGNIFIGANTLY cheaper to transmit data across than either GSM or CDMA 3g variants.

So I live just north of Philly... Bring me the LTE!

Heck, I'll even use a windows phone for a year if that's what it takes.

Cuz no phones are going to be released any time soon your old lady is going to leave you and find someone that will get her a phone and not leave her with a hand me down. Cuz the article made it pretty clear we're still several months, of not longer from seeing LTE phones.

Its the same thing as wimax, all the websites posted that the EVO AKA the SuperSonic was supposed to be the first wimax phone beginning of 2010, didn't come out till Summer 2010. So i would bet my paycheck nothing till third or fourth quarter of 2011.

I'm guessing Green Bay might be one of the holdouts, as Green Bay is by far the smallest city in the NFL and all major professional sports. Areas such as Albuquerque, Las Vegas, and Hampton Roads are all significantly larger than Green Bay but don't have major professional sports teams.

Smallest perhaps but it is the best in my opinion. Community-owned team deep in historical culture. GREEN BAY ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR! GO PACK GO!
P.S. - Check out the avatar, Lambeau Leap for the 2011 MVP Aaron Rodgers baby! 😎

Hampton Roads is not a city, but refers to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Newport News metropolitan area in southeastern Virginia.
