Doomed from the start
I mean, where's the practicality of this model line? Just plain dumb.

I don't think they were going for "popular" with this model. It's a statement. And I like it. I wouldn't buy it, but I like it.

I agree with wacko.
It's not supposed to be practical, it's a fashion phone and as such, it serves its purpose admirally.
An impressive piece of kit. Alas, I probably wouldn't buy it either but for anyone who has a social life (not meπ), why not? It's a conversation starter!

I bought this phone for my wife in tokyo back in march π , she loves the phone and the compliments. She had her #'s stored on her sim (which helped reduce the difficulty in storing #'s).

Design, in its own world, has to move forward somehow and the phone is surely a step to thinking outside. Designs like this either stand on their own, like the iPod, or they are precursors of things to come, like the Paris fashion ramps. While I am not in the right mental space to use this phone with my need for simple, rapid practicality, I'm glad they took the plunge and look forward to improved/modified versions that can have more popular appeal. Overall, I like the way they think and especially we can be grateful that they supported the designer through the bouts of boredom madness when the designer ran through the building that day--"I cant take it anymore! I cant take it anymore!"
