Does anyone use Swype?

I got to try out Swype on my Nexus One, but found it to be useless unless I was writing in perfect dictionary-standard English. Ethnic or internet-friendly names and terms do not work well with Swype, which meant I had to peck normally.

I'm curious if anybody uses it any more than they do vocal dictation.

It came installed on my captivate and i love it. At first I didn't think I liked it that much, but after you get use to it it's hard to go back to the standard way of typing. In response to the issue you stated, all you have to do is manually type the word once, from that point on when you swype those letters it will either spell your word, or at least give you the option of using your word. There may be a difference between the version of swype that came installed on my phone and a downloaded version though?

I use Swype all the time on my EVO and it has served me very well. It picks up most words right away, though occasionally the top suggestion isn't correct if two words have a very similar pattern. The mistake is probably also my fault in that situation, since I'm not exactly dead-on with my motions.

For any Android device, I think Swype is a must-have, or at least a must-try, since not everyone will like it. As far as software keyboards go, Swype is fantastic.
