Getting Rid of AT&T and their data caps
1) Android is crap
2) The Phones that run Android are crap
3) Most iPhone users still have unlimited AT&T data. So we get the fastest wireless network in the U.S and unlimited.
The data cap thing was more for effect, being grandfathered into a plan doesn't make it the best plan available, and if for some reason I started service with AT&T I couldn't enjoy the same benefits. Not really a great selling point for the network.
And if that doesn't work, then wait for Apple to copy the idea. They're hellaciously good at that, only they'll end up charging a ton of money for something that doesn't work when held in the left hand.
That's why a lot of people buy and enjoy iOS.
However.
You can't discredit the massive amount of extremely innovative (and free) services that Google is handing out, and as well as they integrate with Android, it's a pretty sweet deal. The EVO I'm carrying has a pretty good list of options and applications, ranging from tethering to remote desktop access to my home PC, YouTube video ripper, MP3 search engine, games and whatnot, and I've spent a grand total of a few dollars on all apps combined. That's a great deal. The only thing I ever hear people lament over not having is Angry Birds, which I'm sure...
