The U.S. barely trails them in suicides per 100,000 people. A quick run from the WHO site to Excel will show you the average of all countries is 16.9 males and 5 females per 100,000 people, China sits at 14.9 males and 12.3 females per 100,000 making males less likely and females more likely to commit suicide, and that probably has to do with their social structure, not their work life.
