iPhone Not Available Online without AT&T Contract
Iphone on Verizon or T-mobile
Recently I was arguing with someone about how HORRIBLE iTunes for Windows is...and this person responded that 'of course iTunes for Windows sucks, Windows is a horrible OS'
So, somehow the fact that Apple makes a downright horrible program for Windows is somehow Microsoft's fault.
The moment that the iPhone is on another carrier, Apple will lose the right to anal rape AT&T and bye bye Apple's massive profit margins.
For example....Apple's contract says that Apple gets a share of the monthly recurring charges of every iPhone user....this is the reason why the data plan is mandatory, a mandatory data plan was about increasing the monthly recurring charges and thereby increasing Apple's profits.
No way Verizon, Sprint or T-Mob...

Rumor mongers = fail.
Also this never comes up when all the carriers do pay RIM for its Blackberry's on those monthly fees.
Apple is locking people down on AT&T contracts...so that means they're making a phone for verizon and tmobile?
That makes zero sense.
If that was true, they wouldn't be forcing a contract on at&t. It wouldn't matter to Apple if they did a contract or not.

How does that work?

They do make money as any other reseller would from signing a new customer, plus getting paid back again from AT&T for the phone subsidy, and on THEIR own phone. Its one slick deal if you ask me, at least for Apple.
