Im sure fanboys wont care since its "a gotta have it", oh yea, have fun with those data caps too! But on the real, I can see this turning Apple users to another carrier that offers more for less.

Read the article, you can get the phone in an AT&T store for full price without contract.

i want people to know my comment above is not a fanboy comment i promise. i just cant stand this whole stupid exclusivity garbage and they know the iphone is very popular and they do more and more to screw with people and they make it more costly and with stupider rules like a ridiculous 2gb cap and at&t's sh*tty a** network. my cousin has the iphone 4 and i think its pretty dang sweet.

Your one of the few people on PS who seems to be really, really level headed. You don't seem to be too extreme in your points of views towards wireless companies to the point that your no longer a consumer, like some on here.

Personally I'm pro-consumer, I'm not a slave to terms & conditions or corporate policy. And I think your similar.

I think there are way, way too many people on this website that are pro wireless company and anti-consumer.

Flip,
I happen to agree with you on long term exclusives, it bull. Fine for a few months, but after that open it up. Its not good for any user no matter the device or carrier. More people to the party is better for the consumer.

Of course they sre evil. However, consumers can still walk into AT&T and buy the handset with no contract obligation, no? They just cannot buy it directly from Apple in that manner.
