yeeeep....Crysis never looked so good 😈. I wish. I am however rockin Android 2.2 FroYo cyanogen_mod 6 RC3 though. It's pretty nice. I got the HTC EVO 4G sense theme thru AWD Launcher. What does this all have to do with the News Item Bazzle? Nothin...just love Phonescoop.com and Android 😁

Hey friend...you should get RC3 (if avail). Major performance upgrades/tweaks. It runs much smoother/faster/stable. I didn't even have to change the kernel this time. Sucky part is you have to reinstall your apps. If you have Clockworld recovery, just do a backup first. 😎

Yeah we just got the RC1 on 8/15 (Hero developement has been a little slower). Last I ran it a month ago it was just testing and not stable at all.

Now its running great and all features appear to be working correctly. I'm still using apps2SD from my previous ROM (even though I do have titanium backup). I tried the native apps to sd with FroYo and it seemed way too buggy for me (could have been that older testing version of 2.2).

I forced all my apps to the SD card and then upon reboot, none of the apps showed for at least 10 minutes. Do you know if this is common for FroYo?

I know on a stock 2.2 you don't even have the option to force an app to the SD card so maybe this is why it takes time before they load?

Oh ok I see what you're saying about the RC's for the Hero. On RC 1 & 2 I had a weird glitch where apps weren't showing up or icons missing. Then I had constant rebooting/force closing. So what I would keep doing prior to RC3 was to go to "setting/applications/manage applications" and select the "all" tab. It would register the apps then or sometimes I had to pull out the battery. After I upgraded to RC-3 I had a major battery drainage issue. My whole battery would go from 100% to 3% in 1 hour. I just kept playing with options and tinkered with brightness. It's been several hours now since I charged my phone and it's at 85% and with wi-fi with sleep-mode disabled. Because it's against phonescoop policy to post links I can only type out some ...
